Welcome back Autumn!

Hello Lovelies

It’s my all-time favourite time of the year again! I am so excited for pumpkin spice lattes, autumn fashion and cosy lazy days. For as long as I can remember autumn has been my favourite time of the year. A time for snuggly jackets, autumnal colours and lots of hot chocolate. I thought today I would let you all know my autumn plans for this year!

Something you all may not know about me is I’m a HUGE theme park lover. I grew up with Merlin Entertainments (the name behind many of the UK’s Theme Parks). Living not too far from Thorpe Park I used to find myself there almost weekly growing up. If you’re from the UK you will probably be aware that many of the theme parks hold Halloween events including scare mazes and rides in the dark. This year we are travelling a bit further up to Alton Towers. We have booked a hotel and will be up there on the 19th-22nd October! I am so excited as I haven’t visited Alton Towers in a couple of years and they have their new wooden roller coaster, The Wickerman.

Pumpkin Picking

Every year myself and my friends go pumpkin picking at a local garden centre. It is a tradition for us to go and pick the biggest pumpkin to then carve before Halloween! I absolutely love the pumpkin patch that we go to each year. It is a massive field and gives the perfect photo opportunities.

Shopping Trips

Recently Elliott, Georgia and I booked our winter holiday to Norway! This is really exciting but does require a lot of shopping for things like walking boots, ski jackets, thermals and base layers. This autumn we need to gather everything that we need to keep ourselves warm for this trip of a lifetime.

I love making autumn themed or Halloween sweet treats to try at this time of year. Usually, I bake brownies & cakes but this year I also have the challenge of making them wheat, gluten, egg and cows milk free. I’m definitely am up for the challenge and if they aren’t a complete flop you may even see them on here.

Movie Marathons

There’s nothing better as the cold weather starts to creep in than snuggling up under a duvet with some popcorn in one hand and a hot chocolate in the other in front of a good film. Fortunately for me as a film student, this is considered ‘work’ by my tutors and is encouraged! Isn’t studying film worth it just for that?!

So there are a few of the things I am looking forward to this autumn and I plan on documenting most of them here on my blog! What are your plans this autumn? I would love to hear about them in the comments below!

  1. Whaaat! I can’t wait for you to post about your milk and egg-free baking! I’m allergic to eggs and lactose intolerant… and that’s pretty much the endgame for people who like sweets :’)
